Spice up your bar with the vibrant hues and flavors of Mango Shotta. By crafting an original bright orange shooter and cocktail, we invite bartenders to show us how they “Paint the Town Mango”.

Inspired by the mangonada, Mango Shotta is designed to elevate and add a kick to any cocktail. Mango and jalapeño flavors shake hands with savory spices to make it the drink the bites back.

With Mango Shotta it’s time to enter your spicy era, so get ready to take a shotta and bite back!

How it works

Enter the contest

Craft an original bright orange cocktail AND a shooter using Mango Shotta that lets the mango glow and enter them here before May 31, 2024.

COMPETE IN THE COMPETITION

Five (5) Finalists can win the opportunity to go to Tales of the Cocktail® in July 2024, to compete in the final round of the Paint the Town Mango Cocktail Competition for a $5,000 prize pool.

Grand Prize

The grand prize winner will receive $2,000 and be featured in Chilled Magazine

Recipe Requirements

All submissions must include a cocktail AND a shooter and be orange in color.

COCKTAIL Submission

Your submitted cocktail must include:

  • Minimum of 1 oz. Mango Shotta.

  • No more than 5 ingredients, not including garnish.

  • No more than 2.5 oz. of alcoholic ingredients. Total volume not to exceed 6 oz.

  • All entries must be submitted by May 31, 2024.

  • Must be orange in color.

  • An image or video of your cocktail must be submitted.

Note: Any house-made ingredients must be easily replicable at well-stocked bars.

Shooter Submission

Your submitted shooter must include:

  • Minimum of ½ oz. Mango Shotta.

  • No more than 3 ingredients, not including garnish.

  • Total volume not to exceed 2 oz.

  • All entries must be submitted by May 31, 2024.

  • Must be orange in color.

  • An image or video of your shooter must be submitted.

Note: Any house-made ingredients must be easily replicable at well-stocked bars.

Judging

Each entry will be judged based on these criteria.

Final Score

The Cocktail and Shooter will each be scored out of 100 points, resulting in a combined total of 200 points for the final score.

Paint the Town Mango Cocktail Competition is being held in conjuncture with Women of the Vine & Spirits Foundation and Badass Bartender group. The Women of the Vine & Spirits Foundation, Ltd. 501(c)(3) is the charitable arm of Women of the Vine & Spirits.
