Femme Brûlée

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ oz. Edmond’s Honor Bourbon
  • ½ oz. Premium Cognac
  • 5 oz. Banana-Infused Demerara Syrup or Banana Liqueur (recipe follows)
  • 2 dashes Chocolate Bitters
  • 6 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • Optional: Finish with a spray of Absinthe

Preparation

  1. Add the bourbon, cognac, banana syrup or banana liqueur, and both bitters into a mixing glass.
  2. Fill mixing glass one third of the way with ice.
  3. Stir until well-chilled.
  4. Strain into chilled coupe glass.
  5. Garnish with banana slice that has been sprinkled with sugar and caramelized with a torch.
