Irish Coffee

Ingredients

  • 1 oz - Irish Whiskey
  • .5 oz - Rich Demerara Syrup*
  • 3.5 oz - Dark Roast Coffee
  • 1 oz - Whipped Heavy Cream
  • Garnish: Grated Nutmeg
  • Glassware: Irish Coffee, Hot Toddy

Preparation

  1. Add the whiskey and sugar to the glass.
  2. Pour the hot dark roast coffee on top.
  3. Float the whipped heavy cream over the cocktail.
  4. Garnish with fresh grated nutmeg.

Rich Demerara Syrup*


Ingredients

  • 1 liter - Demerara Sugar
  • 500ml - Water
  • 1 tsp - Salt

Preparation

  1. Add the ingredients to a pot and cook at a low heat until the sugar is combined.
  2. Transfer to an airtight container and let cool uncovered.
  3. Date, label and refrigerate.
