The House of Lustau Embarks on Year Two of Certified Sherry Wine Specialist Course in the U.S.

Certified Sherry Wine Specialist Course Aimed at Industry Professionals and Wine and Hospitality Schools Expands in Year Two with New Updates.

The House of Lustau, a leading producer of Sherry wines recognized for outstanding accolades, will again offer the Certified Sherry Wine Specialist (CSWS) Course this year for industry professionals—sommeliers, bartenders, distributors, sales representatives—and for Wine and Hospitality Schools in the U.S. with some exciting updates following an extremely effective year one campaign.

The House of Lustau

New this year, the House of Lustau will be appointing CSWS Market Brand Ambassadors chosen from a selection of top students who completed the CSWS Course in 2017 to represent the House of Lustau at events and programs throughout the U.S. in 2018.  In addition, all students who attend the House of Lustau CSWS Course in 2018 will automatically qualify for the chance to win a trip for two to Jerez, Spain to coincide with the Feria del Caballo in May 2019.

The CSWS Course provides Intermediate Level study material that has been approved by the Regulatory Council of Sherry Wines Jerez-Xérès-Sherry. Those who pass the certification, which comprises of an educational presentation, tasting and an exam over a 2 1/2 hour course duration led by Lucas Payá, Certified Sherry Educator, will receive a Certificate of Achievement signed by Cesar Saldaña, General Manager of the D.O. Jerez-Xérès-Sherry Regulatory Council and House of Lustau CEO Luis Luengo, and will be recognized as a Certified Sherry Wine Specialist at the Intermediate Level.

A Sherry 101 online study guide at Training.Lustau.es has been created for students and members of the industry interested in preparing for the CSWS Course.
