With a lower ABV and a lighter flavor profile, we love these variations from The Bitter Truth. Looking for something even lighter? Sub out the sparkling wine for soda water or your favorite seltzer. Thanks to the dynamic and complex flavors of the bitter truth liqueurs, you don’t need much else to make a fantastic cocktail.

Founded by two German bartenders, The Bitter Truth offers a range of liqueurs, bitters, and a pink gin that make mixing great cocktails easy. At the time the company started, finding unusual bitters was difficult to impossible. Today, they make thirteen styles of bitters and six liqueurs offering bartenders a versatility of flavors that previously would have only been obtained by tedious DIYing. One of the many things we love about the line is that it makes creating complex flavors a breeze and that it is ideal for creating low and no ABV drinks, a trend we see sticking around for a long time to come.

Apricot Spritz

Ingredients:

• 1 oz. The Bitter Truth Apricot Liqueur
• 3 oz. Sparkling Wine

Preparation: Fill wine glass with ice, add apricot liqueur, and sparkling wine.

Ingredients:

• 1 oz. The Bitter Truth Violet Liqueur
• 3 oz. Sparkling Wine

Preparation: Fill wine glass with ice, add violet liqueur and sparkling wine.

Cucumber Spritz

Ingredients:

• 1 oz. Italian Red Bitter Liqueur
• 2 dashes The Bitter Truth Cucumber Bitters
• 3 oz. Sparkling Wine

Preparation: Fill wine glass with ice, add Italian red bitter liqueur, cucumber bitters and sparkling wine.

Ingredients:

• 1 oz. The Bitter Truth Elderflower Liqueur
• 3 oz Sparkling Wine
