Spring Cocktails Featuring DeLeón Tequila

Spring is finally here and DELEÓN® Tequila has fashioned two seasonal cocktails to help usher in our favorite season – the Platinum Paloma and DELEÓN® Salud. Both cocktails feature fresh fruit juices and “up-leveled” ingredients.
Platinum Paloma
The Platinum Paloma is a sterling variation of the classic cocktail of the same name. Mexico’s most beloved cocktail, the Paloma is traditionally crafted with grapefruit soda, lime and a pinch of salt.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz. DELEÓN® Platinum
- 1 oz. Fresh grapefruit juice
- 1/2 oz. Fresh lime juice
- 1 bar spoon Cane syrup
Preparation: Vigorously shake all ingredients over cold, clean ice until thoroughly chilled and strain over fresh ice into a rocks glass. Garnish with a lime wheel.
DeLeón Salud
Spanish for “cheers,” the DeLeón Salud is a luxuriously layered tropical drink. Fresh passion fruit, with its aromatic and complex sweet & tart flavors, and pineapple combine to create a dynamic sweet fruit base, made richer with the addition of Palo Cortado (one of the most sought after Sherries) that enhances the warm brown spice and vanilla finishing notes. Finally, the cocktail is crowned with a squeeze of fresh lime juice for brightness, a dash of absinthe for aromatic spice, and bitters for added depth of flavor.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. DELEÓN® Platinum
- 1/2 oz. Palo Cortado Sherry
- 1 oz. Fresh pineapple juice
- 1/2 oz. Fresh lime juice
- 1/4 oz. Passion fruit puree
- 1 dash Absinthe
- 2 Angostura Bitters
Preparation: Shake all ingredients vigorously with clean, cold ice. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice. Garnish with an orange peel.
