Over 9,500 Pink and White-Clad Rosé Enthusiasts Celebrate with the Best Wine, Food and Live Music During Two-Day Debut of PINKNIC.

July 9th-10th, 2016 marked the debut of PINKNIC, and welcomed 9,500 wine, food and music lovers to one of New York’s most beloved destinations – Governors Island. The highly anticipated event was the first to be hosted on the island’s Play Lawn, and offered unobstructed views of Manhattan’s most treasured landmarks and extraordinary city skyline.

From the glass to the grounds, the sprawling Play Lawn was bathed entirely in pink – including a spectacular display of over 2,000 specially designed rosé-hued picnic blankets, ‘Les Parasols’ pavilion and the guests themselves, who adhered to the festival’s dress code of ‘pink and white.’ Dressed in their finest picnic attire, guests noshed on gourmet picnic baskets designed by Chef Chris Santos, and enjoyed an exclusive lineup of live performances by celebrated international and local musicians.

Created by the founders of La Nuit en Rosé – the world’s first event series dedicated to rosé wine – PINKNIC offered a setting suited for summer’s favorite beverage. The two-day event was an unparalleled opportunity to delight in still and sparkling rosé selections from the likes of Château d’Esclans, Moët & Chandon, and Chandon. But rosé wasn’t the only thing taking center stage. Throughout the weekend, there was a robust selection of live entertainment, with DJ sets and performances by Claptone, Miami Horror, Tube & Berger, Slow Hands, Tortured Soul and more.
