Last week, TANDUAY Distillers, Inc. introduced its rum to discerning guests at the company’s official launch party in South Beach, Miami. An intimate affair, the evening was hosted by the Regent Cocktail Club at the Gale, and featured cocktails conceived by the venue’s revered mixologists. Attendees included local and national media, rum influencers and several of the company’s executives, in town from the Philippines expressly for the event.

“The event at the Regent Cocktail Club provided the perfect introduction of TANDUAY to the Miami market, and the mixologists did a wonderful job highlighting the complex and silky smooth flavor that TANDUAY Asian Rum brings to cocktails,” said Nestor Mendones, SVP Chief Finance Officer, TANDUAY Distillers, Inc.

“We thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to meet with media and influencers in the area and to present TANDUAY to this vibrant city.”

There were four cocktails served throughout the evening featuring both expressions: TANDUAY Silver Asian Rum and TANDUAY Gold Asian Rum. The drinks, created by the Regent mixologists, included the Tanduay Daiquiri, made in the traditional style with fresh lime juice and sugar, the Maldita, a fresh juice concoction with watermelon, ginger yuzu, coconut water and sugar, The 1854, an updated version of the Mai Tai containing fresh lime, orgeat, curacao and bitters, and the Mango Blossom, a spin on the mango lassi with fresh lime, sugar, fresh mango puree, orange juice and coconut milk.

TANDUAY Silver is aged for up to 5 years in charred oak barrels prior to blending and filtering, creating flavors with hints of coconut and custard. TANDUAY Gold is blended with rum aged up to 7 years and boasts expressive flavors of vanilla, tropical fruit, and notes of clean, new oak.
