“Potent Floating”

Cocktail by Leonard Madison

Ingredients:

2oz Deep Eddy lime 🍋‍🟩

1.5oz Tropicana Pineapple Mango splash

.5oz Liber and Co Pineapple Gum syrup

2g of muddled cilantro

2 dashes peach bitters

Preparation:

In a shaker tin, Drop about 2-3 grams of cilantro in it. Then pour 2 ounces of Deep Eddy Lime Vodka. Muddle for about 7 seconds. Then pour in 1.5 ounces of Tropicana Pineapple Mango Splash and 2 dashes of Fee Brothers Peach bitters. Lastly add .5ounces of Liber and Co. Pineapple Gum syrup. Shake vigorously. Double strain using a hawthorn and fine mesh strainer into a plastic, stem-less wine glass.

Garnish:

Drink floatie, teddy graham in a life savor gummy, and lime wheel.

Glassware:

Plastic stem-less wine glass (no glass poolside)

Cocktail Inspiration:

The cocktail’s flavor was inspired by a memory of enjoying fish tacos with pineapple and mango salsa at a Mexican resort. The dish was so flavorful and refreshing that I tried to recreate it using mango, pineapple, cilantro, and lime in the cocktail. 4 tacos and 4 cocktails in, I found myself tipsy and floating down a lazy river, which led to the name “Potent Floating.” The design of the presentation featured two teddy graham bears in a gummy tube floating on the cocktail poolside. The goal was to capture the essence of that memorable fun and exciting midsummer vacation.
