Irish Coffee
Ingredients
- 1 oz - Irish Whiskey
- .5 oz - Rich Demerara Syrup*
- 3.5 oz - Dark Roast Coffee
- 1 oz - Whipped Heavy Cream
- Garnish: Grated Nutmeg
- Glassware: Irish Coffee, Hot Toddy
Preparation
- Add the whiskey and sugar to the glass.
- Pour the hot dark roast coffee on top.
- Float the whipped heavy cream over the cocktail.
- Garnish with fresh grated nutmeg.
Rich Demerara Syrup*
Ingredients
- 1 liter - Demerara Sugar
- 500ml - Water
- 1 tsp - Salt
Preparation
- Add the ingredients to a pot and cook at a low heat until the sugar is combined.
- Transfer to an airtight container and let cool uncovered.
- Date, label and refrigerate.
