Dad's Old Fashioned
Ingredients
- 2 oz. Dos Maderas 5+5 Aged Rum
- .25 oz. Rich Simple Syrup (2:1)
- 2 dashes of Aromatic bitters (like Angostura)
- 2 dashes of Orange bitters (like Bitter Truth)
Preparation
- Prepare your Rich Simple Syrup by dissolving 2 parts cane sugar into 1 part boiling water. Let cool.
- Chill a Rocks glass.
- Add all ingredients to a Mixing Glass, fill with cracked ice and stir with a long bar spoon for 10 seconds.
- Strain into your glass over 1 large piece of ice| Garnish with an orange peel, oils expressed over your drink at a 45 degree angle. Cheers!
