Recap: Ketel One Hosts Celebration in NYC

On Wednesday, March 8th, Carl Jr. & Bob Nolet, sons of Carl Nolet Sr., creator of Ketel One Vodka, hosted an intimate celebration at Rock & Reilly’s in New York City to meet with the Ketel One extended family of bartenders and distributors.

Guests enjoyed bites paired with Ketel One Vodka cocktails including: The Perfect Mule, Arnold Palmer, The Dutch Tulip and De Nolet. While mingling with Carl, attendees were also treated to a Build Your Own Bloody Mary bar, experienced Ketel One Vodka’s cutting edge virtual reality experience taking them into the halls of the Nolet Family Distillery located in Schiedam, Holland and participated in a Ketel One Vodka Taste Test.

While at the event, Carl Jr. and Bob Nolet unveiled a new limited edition bottle design in honor of a sports legend set to launch this month.

Mix up these Ketel One cocktails for yourself.

De Nolet Cocktail

Ingredients:

• 1 1/2 oz. Ketel One Citroen
• 1/2 oz. Rosemary and Lemon infused Simple Syrup*
• 1/2 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
• 1 sprig Rosemary/Lemon Wheel
• Club Soda

Preparations: Add Ketel One Citroen, rosemary and lemon infused simple syrup and fresh lemon juice into a mixing glass. Add ice and shake. Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Top with club soda. Garnish with a lemon wheel and rosemary sprig.

*Rosemary and Lemon Simple Syrup

Boil 2 cups of water with 4 Rosemary sprigs to boil for approximately 5 mins or until rosemary aroma fills room. Strain out the rosemary. Bring 1 cup of Rosemary water and 1 cup of sugar to a simmer, stirring regularly until all sugar is dissolved. Add the zest of one lemon to the syrup and stir. Let sit for 5 mins. Strain out zest and let cool.

Perfect Mule

Ingredients:

• 1 1/2 oz. Ketel One Oranje
• 1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
• 3/4 oz. Simple Syrup
• 2 Strawberries
• Ginger Beer

Preparations: Build in a copper mug over ice, top with Ginger Beer. Muddle strawberries and simple syrup in the bottom of a mixing glass. Add Ketel One Oranje and lime juice and shake with ice. Strain into a copper mug filled with ice. Top with ginger beer. Garnish with a strawberry wedge.

Arnold Palmer

Ingredients:

• 1 1/2 oz. Ketel One
• Fresh Lemonade
• Ice Tea

Preparations: Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Shake with ice and serve in a high ball glass with a lemon wheel.

The Dutch Tulip

Ingredients:

• 1 1/4 oz. Ketel One
• 3/4 oz. Hibiscus Juice
• 1/2 oz. Lime Juice
• 1 1/2 oz. Pineapple puree
• 1/2 oz. Simple Syrup

Preparations: Muddle 3 Sage leaves, add ingredients with ice, shake and strain into a high ball and top off with club soda.
