Let’s try not to think about how cold we have been lately and try to think about spring being just a few weeks away. We know, we can’t believe it either.
One way to do that is to sip on some Margaritas while celebrating National Margarita Day on February 22! Celebrating inside, that is. Below are some restaurants that serve up special offerings for this special day. If you are in the area of any of them, they are definitely worth checking out. Or, you can celebrate in the comfort (and warmth) of your own home by making your very own signature margarita from one of the delicious recipes below.
Cheers and Happy Margarita Day!
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Especially on this day, treat yourself and purchase a classic wallet-friendly Patron ($6.95) or Sauza ($4.50) margarita in addition to your burritos, bowls, and tacos. The cocktails are served on the rocks with a wedge of lime, and are made to order with tequila, triple sec, a blend of fresh lime and lemon juices, and organic agave nectar.
Los Angeles, California
This Chaya and Chia Seed Margarita comes to you from Chefs Jaime and Ramiro (the L.A. chefs behind La Casita Mexicana, one of Los Angeles’s most beloved Mexican restaurants) and their newest concept Mexicano, located in Baldwin Hills. The chefs love this unique take on a margarita because it is healthy, gorgeous and brings together some very unexpected ingredients.
West Hollywood and Laguna Beach, Ca and Poipu, Kauai, Hawaii
For the big day, the modern Mexican restaurant with locations in Laguna Beach, West Hollywood, and Kauai, will offer a one-day-only special; when you order the flavorful Smokey Passion Fruit margarita with Karma Silver, mezcal, fresh agave lime sweet, pineapple juice, passion fruit purée, and Stirrings triple sec, you can get half-off on the Salsa Trio with salsa de mesa, salsa de tomatillo fresca, and salsa de papaya habanero.
