Must Mix: Endeavor Punch for National Punch Day
By Chilled Magazine
September 20th, 2016 is National Punch Day.
Take a page from the history books with a classic rum punch recipe designed with the original ingredients and methods in mind. Designed to last for long sailing voyages from Europe to Asia, punch was a combination of spirit, citrus, spice, and water that eventually became a mainstay in London where sailors posted after their journeys abroad.
While punch might get a bad rap nowadays thanks to syrupy sweet versions, recipes designed with the historic ingredients in place are well-balanced, delicious, and perfect for at home entertaining. Large format recipes like punch make entertaining easy, stress-free and enjoyable.
The Endeavor Punch, created by noted cocktail writer David Wondrich, mixes the complex, full-flavored blend of BANKS 7 Golden Age Blend with lime juice, Rainwater Madeira, Lemon Oleo Saccharum, cold water, and Orange Curacao for a sophisticated and worldly punch.
