“We are honored to receive this recognition from one of the spirits industry’s most prestigious, independent awards competitions. Glengoyne Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky’s impeccable taste is, among many other factors, the result of a slower distilling process than anyone else in Scotland.”

Glengoyne Distillery is a whisky distillery which has been continuously in operation since its founding year in 1833 at Dumgoyne, north of Glasgow, Scotland. Situated at the foot of Dumgoyne Hill and with the mountains of Loch Lomond in the distance, Glengoyne is widely considered one of Scotland’s most beautiful distilleries. Crucially unlike many malt whisky distilleries today, Glengoyne does not use peat smoke to dry its barley, instead using warm air. Ever uncompromising in its pursuit of excellence, Glengoyne uniquely runs its stills slower than any other distillery in order to create the sweet, complex flavors for which the brand is known. The Glengoyne Highland Single Malt range is matured in the finest sherry and bourbon oak casks from within its traditional dunnage warehouses.
Founded in 1968 as a wine and spirit importer representing a handful of brands, Shaw-Ross has grown into one of the nation’s leading importers representing leading suppliers from around the world. Shaw-Ross continues to evolve its portfolio to keep ahead of the ever-changing wine and spirits.
