Cocktail by Marcel Wing
Ingredients:
2 oz Deep Eddy Lemon
2 oz Basil Sour Mix
.5 oz Egg Whites
.5 oz Heavy Cream
1 oz Club Soda
Preparation:
Basil Sour Mix: Boil blended basil with sugar and water, then mix with fresh lemon juice.
Cocktail: Chill a coupe glass, then shake all ingredients in a boston shaker. Next, strain the cocktail into the larger of the two tins. Froth with a frother wand, and then dry shake. pour a little club soda into the glass and then pour the cocktail over it. Pour the rest of the club soda through the center of the cocktail and let the foam rise. Zest a lemon on top and place a basil leaf over the center.

Lemon zest and one basil leaf

Cocktail Inspiration:
I chose Deep Eddy Lemon because I wanted to capture the essence of summer, using basil as my compliment flavor in order to recreate that feeling you get when picking fresh herbs. I wanted the basil to linger on your palate in that same way, while the lemon keeps it bright and sunny.
