Cocktail by Claire Trindle
Ingredients:
2oz Deep Eddy Lime Vodka
1oz Hibiscus Passionfruit Simple Syrup
.5oz Pineapple Juice
4 dashes Angostura Bitters
4 Mint Sprigs
Mint Sprigs (Garnish)
Preparation:
-Combine wet ingredients in a shaker with ice
-Spank 4 mint sprigs over the shaker, then drop them into the shaker
-Shake vigorously for 30 seconds
-Double strain into cocktail glass
-Top with crushed ice
-Garnish with mint sprigs and an umbrella

Island Time is a refreshing cocktail that is both crisp and juicy.
The vegetal notes of the Deep Eddy Lime Vodka are met with the tropical sweetness of the passionfruit and pineapple. To balance out the sweetness from the fruits, I incorporated hibiscus to embody an upbeat tartness as well as some angostura bitters for some spicy bitterness. The mint is intended to mellow out these robust ingredients to round out the cocktail and give it a refreshing finish.
Island Time evokes the attitude behind its name, where time moves slower and we can enjoy each moment at it comes. Island Time is crushable and approachable, so don’t be afraid to go back for seconds or thirds and let it take you away.
