Cocktail by Matthew Heddaeus

Ingredients:

2 oz Deep Eddy Lemon

0.5 oz Lemon Juice

0.5 oz Amber Maple Syrup

1 tbsp Blueberry Preserves

Preparation:

1. Add maple syrup, lemon juice, and Deep Eddy Lemon to a shaker tin. Add 1 tablespoon of blueberry preserves to the tin, stirring with the tablespoon to break up the preserves as well as making sure no preserves are still stuck to the spoon.

2. Add ice to the shaker and shake for 8-10 seconds.

3. Double strain into a rocks glass filled with pebble ice. Top up with additional pebble ice if necessary.

4. Garnish with 2 overlapping lemon wheels and serve.

As a kid Blueberry Pancakes with Lemon Zest always set the tone for a great day. I wanted to take the same fun and excitement I felt as a kid eating those pancakes and put it in an cocktail!
