For years, Omni has emphasized its passion for infusing cocktails with “nature’s sweetener.” As part of its partnership with the National Honey Board (NHB), five Omni properties in North America host beehives and a collective 300,000 bees that have harvested their own honey for use in everything from culinary dishes to spa treatments.

With the popularity of honey in cocktails on the rise, especially as Firmenich named honey the 2015 Flavor of the Year, Omni’s Master Mixologist Kim Haasarud has created a number of honey-infused cocktails, available at Omni properties coast-to-coast.

These “liquid gold” cocktails are great for summer and fall.

Bee Sting

Bee Sting

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz. Svedka Jalapeño Grapefruit
  • 1 oz. Lemon Juice
  • 1 oz. Orange Blossom Honey Water*
  • Splash of Grapefruit Juice

Preparation: In a cocktail shaker, combine all the ingredients with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into an iced plastic cup. Garnish with grapefruit slice.

*Orange Blossom Honey Water:

2 parts orange blossom honey to 1 part hot water. Stir until dissolved. Keep in a squeeze bottle and refrigerated or on ice.


Pink Moon Shandy

Pink Moon Shandy

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz. Deep Eddy Grapefruit
  • 1 oz. Orange Blossom Honey Water*
  • 3/4 oz. Lemon Juice
  • Splash of Grapefruit Juice
  • 1 1/2 oz. Blue Moon Belgian White Beer

Preparation: In a cocktail shaker, combine all the ingredients (except the beer) with ice and shake vigorously. Top with Blue Moon and pour contents into a plastic cup. Garnish with lemon slice.

*Orange Blossom Honey Water:

2 parts orange blossom honey to 1 part hot water. Stir until dissolved. Keep in a squeeze bottle and refrigerated or on ice.


Honey Blossom Margarita

Honey Blossom Margarita

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. Herradura Reposado Tequila
  • 1 oz. Lime Juice
  • 1 oz. Orange Blossom Honey Water*
  • Splash of Grapefruit Juice

Preparation: In a cocktail shaker, combine all the ingredients with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into iced plastic cup. Garnish orange slice and lime wheel.

*Orange Blossom Honey Water:

2 parts orange blossom honey to 1 part hot water. Stir until dissolved. Keep in a squeeze bottle and refrigerated or on ice.


Wildflower Lemonade

Wildflower Lemonade

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz. Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey
  • 1 oz. Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 oz. Wildflower Honey Water*
  • 1/2 oz. Finest Call Bar Syrup
  • 1 oz. Water

Preparation: Combine all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake hard and strain into an iced plastic cup. Garnish with lemon wheel.

*Wildflower Honey Water:

2 parts wildflower honey to 1 part hot water. Stir until dissolved. Keep in a squeeze bottle and refrigerated or on ice.


Honey Melon Mojito

Honey Melon Mojito

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz. Cruzan Light Rum
  • 1 oz. Lime Juice
  • 1/2 oz. Clover Honey Water*
  • 1/2 oz. Finest Call Bar Syrup
  • 1 oz. Finest Call Watermelon Puree
  • 6 Mint Leaves
  • Splash of Club Soda

Preparation: In a cocktail shaker, combine all the ingredients (except the club soda) with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into an iced plastic cup. Garnish lime wedge + watermelon cube or ball + mint sprig.

*Clover Honey Water:

2 parts clover honey to 1 part hot water. Stir until dissolved. Keep in a squeeze bottle and refrigerated or on ice.
