Hawthorne Strainer

A Hawthorne strainer is a bar tool used in mixology for straining cocktails. It consists of a flat, disc-shaped perforated metal plate with a coiled spring around its circumference. The coiled spring is attached to a handle on one side of the disc. The strainer is designed to fit securely over the opening of a mixing glass or a shaker tin.
