Chilled 100 Bartenders Create Unique Smoke Lab Vodka Aniseed Cocktails

Smoke Lab Vodka partners with the Chilled 100 Bartenders to create exceptional cocktails using its latest expression, Smoke Lab Aniseed Vodka along with its flagship Smoke Lab Vodka.

 

Our group of expert bartenders were invited to a playful exploration of aniseed—a much loved Indian herb with refreshing notes of fennel and licorice finishing with a creamy, sweetness and delicate fennel blossom not on the palate.

Legwarmers

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 oz Smoke Lab Vodka
  • 1/2 oz Super lemon
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • 4 dashes saffron tincture
  • Top with Champagne

Preparation: build in Collins glass. Garnish with lemon wheel.

 

 

Hot n’ Heavy

  • 1 1/4 oz Smoke Lab Aniseed Vodka
  • 3/4 oz Crème de Cassis
  • 1/4 oz Dry curacao
  • 2 dashes orange bitters
  • Absinthe rinse

Preparation:  Rinse Nick and Nora glass with absinthe and set aside. Add the rest of the ingredients into a mixing glass and stir with ice. Pour into prepared glass, express orange zest over the top and use as garnish.

Dark Risings

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz Smoked Lab Anise Flavor Vodka
  • 
1 oz Blood Orange Puree
  • 3/4 oz kaffir lime juice
  • 
3/4 oz Cane’s Coriander Turmeric Syrup*

Preparation: Shaken served in rocks glass. Garnish with mint and orange disc.

*Cane collective bar syrups

 

 

 

Chai Colada

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Smoked Lab Vodka
  • 1/2 oz Lemon juice
  • 1 oz Pineapple juice
  • 1 1/2 oz Coconut-Chai Syrup*

Preparation: Place all liquid ingredients into cocktail shaker. Add Ice and Shake vigorously for 20 seconds. Dump all ingredients into empty Collins glass. Top off with fresh pebbled Ice. Garnish with Pineapple Fronds, Lemon, and Pineapple Segment.

 

*Coconut-Chai Syrup

Ingredients:

  • 
1 cup Coconut puree
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 
1 cup Chai tea

Preparation: Place tea, coconut puree into pot. Heat to Soft Boil. Add sugar and stir until completely dissolved. Pull off stove, and place in cool area. Store in Refrigerator until ready to use.

A Lil Ghee for you a lil Ghee for me

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Ghee washed Anise Smoke Lab Vodka*
  • 3/4 oz Fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz Chai Masala Simple Syrup**
  • 1/4 oz Turmeric Syrup***

Preparation: Combine all ingredients in shaker tin and shake hard with ice. Strain into chilled glassware. Garnish with dehydrated lemon with borage flower on top.

 

*Ghee Washed Aniseed Vodka

Clarify butter by melting butter over medium low heat on a stove. Once fat solids have separated, strain butter mixture over a cheesecloth into a glass jar. Let cool slightly. Pour in 8 ounces of the Smoke Lab aniseed vodka. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Strain vodka from butter solid into a jar.

 

**Chai Masala Syrup

Grind up 2 oz Green Cardamom, 2 oz Nutmeg, 1 oz Ginger, .50 oz Black Pepper, .50 oz Cinnamon,  .25 oz Clove, .25 oz Star Anise. Add ingredients to 16oz water and 16 oz sugar. Reduce down for 15 minutes then strain.

 

***Turmeric Syrup

Add 2 oz Turmeric to 12 oz water, and 12 oz sugar. Bring to boil, then let simmer for 15 minutes. Strain.
 
Date Night on the Godavari

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Smoke Lab Vodka
  • 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 3/4 oz Date syrup*
  • 1 oz egg white
  • 7 dashes rose water
  • 1 drop vanilla extract

Preparation: Shake all ingredients with ice and strain over fresh ice into tumbler glass. Garnish lemon peel.

*Date Syrup

Boil 1.5 cup dates in 16 oz water for 15 minutes then set sink in water for 2 hours till soften. Blend everything together then put through cheese cloth.

Throwing Smoke

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Smoke Lab Vodka
  • 3/4 oz Yellow Chartreuse
  • 1 1/2 oz Spiced pineapple shrub*
  • 2 dashes orange bitters

Preparation: Add all ingredients to a shaker tin and shake vigorously with ice. Double strain into martini or coupe glass and garnish with pineapple wheel.

 

*Spiced Pineapple Shrub

  • 4 oz pureed pineapple
  • 2 oz sugar
  • 1 oz champagne vinegar
  • 5 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 tbsp. cloves

Preparation: Add all ingredients into mason jar and shake occasionally until sugar dissolves. Once syrup forms, strain out solids, bottle, and refrigerate.

 

The Spice Wind

 

The Spice Wind

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz Smoke Lab Aniseed Vodka
  • 1 oz Grand Marnier
  • 3/4 oz Cardamaro
  • 3/4 oz Chai Tea
  • 3/4 oz Orange, cardamon infused orgeat*

Preparation:  Add all ingredients shake and double strain into old fashioned glass over large cube. Garnish with dehydrated orange slice.

*Orange, cardamom infused pistachio orgeat

Ingredients:

  • 6 oz finely chopped pistachio
  • 8 cardamom pods
  • Peels of 2 oranges
  • 3 oz sugar

Preparation: Bring to a boil and strain.
