Riedel Introduces Amadeo Double Magnum Rainbow Decanter

By Chilled Magazine

The rainbow stands for many things, but chief among them is tolerance, acceptance, and hope. In support of these ideals, Riedel, the 300-year old family credited with revolutionizing glassware, announces the Amadeo Double Magnum Rainbow Decanter, in support of Elton John AIDS Foundation.

Elton John AIDS Foundation supports innovative methods of prevention, education programs, direct care and support services to people living with HIV. Riedel will be making a donation of €25,000 to the Foundation as part of this initiative.

Featuring the same lyre shape as the original Amadeo introduced in 2006, the Amadeo Double Magnum Rainbow decanter is mouthblown to gracefully aerate 3-liter bottles of wine. Each of the fifty limited edition decanters produced features a striking rainbow that graces the inner curve, created by the addition of colored magnesium oxide heated to 1,200°F and compressed between two layers of clear crystal for a seamless finish.

Retailing for $2,900, the Amadeo Double Magnum Rainbow Decanter will be sold at select retailers, and inquiries can be made via RiedelUSA.net.
