Drink of the Week: Chip on My Shoulder
By Chilled Magazine
Some calendar days are just too fun to ignore, and March 14, National Potato Chip Day, is definitely one of them.
At Chilled, we love keeping an eye on the celebrations from our National Day Calendar, especially when they inspire great cocktails. This week’s Drink of the Week goes all in on the sweet-and-salty magic that makes potato chips such a classic snack.
The Chip on My Shoulder blends rich chocolate notes, luscious fig, and the botanical complexity of Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin with Italian Fig & Laurel. The unexpected twist? A touch of almond potato chip syrup and a rim of chocolate sauce and crushed potato chips that deliver the ultimate sweet-and-salty finish.
Served at Shaker & Vine in Schenectady, NY, where the team continues to impress with inventive flavor combinations and thoughtful presentations that keep guests coming back for more.
Fun Fact: Potato chips were invented in 1853 at Moon’s Lake House in Saratoga Springs, New York, not far from Schenectady, where Shaker & Vine is serving up this sweet-and-salty sip.
Happy National Potato Chip Day!
