Must Mix: Champagne Cocktails

These two unique cocktails have been created specifically for G.H. Mumm champagne, by renowned Cocktail Chef, Matthew Biancaniello, the author of EAT YOUR DRINK (Harper Collins).
The Apres Rouge is a sparkling cocktail with a nice touch of pomegranate and mint, and the GinZing incorporates champagne and gin in a sort of re-imagined bloody mary.

The Mumm Apres Rouge
The Mumm Apres Rouge
Ingredients:
- 3 oz. G.H. Mumm Champagne
- 3/4 Simple Syrup (1:1 ratio of cane sugar to water)
- 3/4 oz. Lime Juice
- 2 Cucumber Slices
- 4 Mint Leaves
- 1/4 oz. Ginger Juice
- 1 oz. Pomegranate Juice
Garnish: Sprig of Mint
Preparation: Muddle everything except the champagne. After muddling, add G.H. Mumm and ice and hold tight and shake/strain over ice in a champagne glass and garnish with a sprig of mint.

The Mumm GinZing
The Mumm GinZing
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. Plymouth Gin
- 1 oz. G.H. Mumm Champagne
- 3/4 oz. Simple Syrup (1:1 ratio of cane sugar to water)
- 3/4 oz. Lemon Juice
- 3 Cherry Tomatoes
- 3 Basil Leaves
Garnish: 1 Large Basil Leaf
Preparation: Muddle everything except gin and champagne. After muddling, add gin and ice and shake/double strain into a rocks glass with ice. Top with G.H. Mums and add basil leaf, cherry tomatoes or garnish of your choice.
