Introducing Trivento Amado Sur Chardonnay
By Chilled Magazine
Fresh from the Trivento estate in Argentina’s Mendoza region, Excelsior Wines is proud to introduce Amado Sur Chardonnay.

The new wine makes its U.S. debut with release of the 2013 vintage. It represents the latest addition to an existing range comprising Amado Sur Malbec and Amado Sur Torrontés. Like those two wines, Amado Sur Chardonnay is also expected to retail for about $15.
Building on the growing success of Trivento’s critically acclaimed Amado Sur collection, in which each wine is an novel blend of complementary grape varieties, the 2013 Amado Sur Chardonnay combines 78% Chardonnay with 12% Pinot Grigio and 10% Viognier.
All three Amado Sur wines are made under the direction of winemaker Germán Di Césare, who is also responsible for Trivento’s acclaimed Golden Reserve collection.
Amado Sur loosely translates to “Southern Love,” a playful allusion to the affinity between the featured grape varieties and the climate and growing conditions found in the foothills of the Andes Mountains. With the original launch of Amado Sur Malbec and Torrontés, Trivento became one of the first producers in Mendoza to experiment with blends in a significant way and with growing popularity and success.
Imported by Excelsior Wines, Trivento Amado Sur wines, including Amado Sur Chardonnay 2013, are distributed nationwide. Retails for approximately $15 per 750ml.
