Cocktail by Travis Parsley
Ingredients:
1.5oz Deep Eddy Lemon Vodka
.5oz Lemon Juice
.75oz Strawberry Basil Shrub
1oz Cava
Fill with Soda Water
Preparation:
Strawberry Basil Shrub
1600g of washed, cut strawberries
450g of Champagne Vinegar
450g of White Sugar
30 leaves of basil
Cook in sous vide for 2.5 hours at 150 degrees
Strain and bottle
When U Love Somebody
Build in glass
Add small amount of ice
Add Deep Eddy Lemon Vodka, Shrub, lemon juice cava
Swizzle
Fill glass with ice
Fill with Soda Water
Garnish with Halved Strawberry

The inspiration is a perfect warm weather sipper with an unexpected twist. It’s a feel good, easy to enjoy cocktail just like the Fruit Bats song, When U Love Somebody. We have a second floor veranda at my bar and I wanted to make something guests could enjoy while watching our historic small town from above.
