Off the Deep End

Cocktail by Sean Gordon

Ingredients:

1.5 oz Deep Eddy Orange

.5 oz Peach Schnapps

2 oz pineapple juice

1 oz coconut purée

.25 oz grenadine

Preparation:

Add Deep Eddy Orange, peach schnapps, pineapple juice and coconut purée to a shaking tin. Add ice to the shaking tin and shake well. Strain into a Collins glass over ice. Add grenadine to glass and stir. Garnish with orange wheel and cherry.

Cocktail Inspiration:

When I first heard about this contest, I knew I needed to use Deep Eddy Orange in a drink. Since I started bartending in Athens, GA, O-bombs (made with Deep eddy orange, Red Bull and orange juice) have been one my favorite drinks to make and take. Also, the first drink I created that made it onto my restaurant’s menu was a twist on a painkiller. I wanted to bring these two together with elements of other summer drinks like the tequila sunrise and sex on the beach to make the ultimate summer cocktail that will keep you coming back for more and send you off the deep end.
