'Ere the Sun Rises
Cocktail by Elijah Burgess
Ingredients:
2oz Deep Eddy Ruby red Grapefruit Vodka
2oz Blood orange soda
1 oz Mango puree
1/2oz blood orange juice
1 sprig rosemary
Preparation:
Add 1 Deep Eddy, mango puree, blood orange juice to a shaker and add sprig of rosemary with ice and shake. Strain into double old fashioned glass with ice and top with blood orange soda
Garnish:
1 sprig rosemary, 1 bloodorange wheel
Glassware:
Double Old Fashioned glass
Cocktail Inspiration:
The ruby red made me think of a red sun which lead to Theoden’s speech in Lord of the Rings before the Battle of Pelenor fields. Hence the name. I wanted something to capture the spirit of the red day with the earthiness of the Rohirrim.
