Cocktail by Joshua Peeling

Ingredients:

2 oz Deep Eddy Ruby Red

.5 oz Bitter Truth Golden Falernum

1 oz Dole Pineapple Juice

.5 oz Fresh Lime Juice

.5 oz Homemade Cinnamon Syrup

Preparation:

Shake all ingredients 8-10 seconds and strain into glass filled with pebble ice

-Cinnamon Syrup – blend 1 cup 1:1 simple syrup with 1 cinnamon stick, let sit for 1 hour and strain

Garnish:

2 pineapple leaves and a grapefruit peel ninja mask

Glassware:

11 oz Collins Glass

Cocktail Inspiration:

When friend told me about contest they said it was just the Ruby red, my brain immediately went to Donn Beachcomber and Donn’s mix #2 being 2 parts grapefruit 1 part cinnamon. If using a tiki icons palette, drink must be tiki and I feel Falernum is a under used spirit. Somebody said original garnish looked like a ninja turtle mask so went with it
