Spice King Sazerac

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Spice King
  • Barspoon Absinthe
  • 3 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters
  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • Sugar cube
  • Lemon twist to garnish

Preparation

  1. In a mixing glass, add the sugar cube (or a teaspoon of sugar) and the bitters and muddle.
  2. Add the whisky and ice and stir until the sugar is dissolved for around one minute.
  3. Add the absinthe to a chilled rocks glass or coupe and rinse it around the sides, discarding any excess liquid.
  4. Pour the whisky mixture into the glass and garnish with a lemon twist.
