Ingredients
- 1 1/4 oz. Cruzan Black Strap Rum
- 1 oz. Vida Mezcal
- 1/2 oz. Fresh Grapefruit Juice
- 3/4 oz. Demerara Syrup
- 3/4 oz. Amontillado Sherry
- 1 dash Each Angostura and Peychaud’s Bitters
Preparation
- Shake all ingredients and double strain into an Old Fashioned glass.
- Add Death Star BFC (aka “Big F’ing Cube, available at amazon.com.)

Geek insight from Card: “Star Wars has been such a huge source of joy in my life, it’s my ‘hokey religion.’ I wanted to create a drink to celebrate the darkest day of the Jedi Order. Order 66 is the command that Emperor Palpatine gave the Clone Troopers to kill all of the Jedi order. Cruzan Black Strap Rum brings out the rich, brooding Dark Side while the smoky Vida Mezcal is a nod to the smoldering ashes of the once strong Jedi.”
