Fig Margarita

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz. Tequila blanco
  • 1 oz. Fig syrup*
  • 1/4 oz. Triple sec
  • 1/4 oz. Fresh lime

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients in a shaker with a scoop of ice.
  2. Shake well and strain into a margarita glass.
  3. Salt the rim (optional).

*Fig Syrup


Ingredients

  • 2 pints Black figs
  • 32 oz. Water
  • 1 cup Sugar

Preparation

  1. Cut figs in quarters, removing the stems.
  2. In a small pot, bring the figs to a boil with the water and sugar.
  3. Lower the heat and let simmer until the syrup has reduced by half.
  4. Strain through a chinois to remove the seeds.
