Em’s Tonic

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. Letherbee Gin
  • .75 oz. Cucumber Tarragon Shrub*
  • 1 oz. Lemon Juice
  • .5 oz. Honey Syrup
  • .5 oz. Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic Water
  • Dehydrated Orange Wheel (to Garnish)
  • Cucumber Ribbon (to Garnish)

Preparation

  1. Place all ingredients, except tonic water and garnishes, in a shaker tin with ice, and shake.
  2. Pour Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic Water in the tin.
  3. Pour into a Collins glass over ice.
  4. Garnish with a dehydrated orange wheel and cucumber ribbon, if desired.

Miami eatery Ariete has a diverse cocktail program that features modern twists on classic drinks. This take on the Gin and Tonic features a homemade cucumber tarragon shrub that’s actually pretty simple to whip up at home.

Ingredients

  • 2 Cucumbers, Sliced
  • 2 Limes, Sliced
  • 5 Tarragon Sprigs
  • 10 Coriander Seeds
  • 1 Water
  • 1 quart Sugar
  • .5 quart Apple Cider Vinegar

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients in large pot and bring to a boil.
  2. Once boiling, bring the temperature down and simmer for 30 minutes.
  3. Let rest and cool, then strain.
