BACARDÍ Tailgating Cocktails

With the first football games of the season under our belts, BACARDÍ rum created a few NEW recipes to spice up your tailgate game this year.
Try switching out the beer in your stein for BACARDÍ OakHeart; the bold, smoky flavor goes great with grilled meats and all your favorite tailgate treats.
Our traditional BACARDÍ rum varieties are also a good option for crowd-pleasing cocktails.
These drinks are perfect pairings for the finger food feasts football fans will be noshing on Monday, Thursday and Sunday nights for the next few months.
The Draft Pick
Ingredients:
- 1 Part Bacardi Superior or Bacardi 8
- 4 Parts ‘half and half’ half lemonade half iced tea
Instructions: Build on ice and garnish with a lemon wheel
Game Day Grog
Ingredients:
- 2 parts Bacardi Oakheart
- 3/4 partsFresh Lemon Juice
- 1 part cinnamon Syrup
- 3 parts Octoberfest Lager
- Nutmeg Dusted Granny Smith Apple Chunks
Instructions: Shake Rum, Lemon, and Syrup well, then add the beer to the rest of the ingredients before straining over over fresh ice. Garnish with Cubed Apples (nutmeg dust optional.)
Cinnamon syrup: Add 2 Cups of Sugar/2 Cups of Water/ 6 CInnamon Sticks to a pot. Place lid and bring all ingredients to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes, then remove pot from heat. Let ingredients stand with lid on for 15 minutes. Place Ingredients in the freezer until cool, strain out cinnamon sticks, and bottle the syrup.
Game Day Rum Punch
Ingredients:
- 2 ½ parts Bacardi Superior Rum
- 1 part Bacardi Select Rum
- 2 parts GameDay BOOM! Syrup
- 2 parts fresh lime juice
- ¾ parts Blood Orange Liqueur (Solerno preferred)
Instructions: Using a large container (insulated beverage container works the best), add all ingredients and stir with long wooden spoon. Fill container with ice to chill punch and BOOM…Enjoy!
Homemade Game Day BOOM! Syrup:
Ingredients:
- 3/4 liter Ceres Passionfruit juice
- 1/4 liter Ceres Guava juice
- 4 cups granulated sugar
- 1 madagascar vanilla pod
- 6 Cloves
- 2 Star Anise
Instructions: Using a sauce pan, add all ingredients except for sugar and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce heat to low and simmer for approximately 10 minutes. Then add sugar, letting the sugar dissolve. Once the sugar is dissolved, strain syrup into a container. Place the container of syrup into the refrigerator to chill. Keep in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
