By Chilled Magazine
Aqua Expeditions, Peru’s first luxury Amazon River cruise, has introduced a brand-new wine list showcasing some of South America’s finest and highest-rated varietals and blends, as well as four new highly acclaimed organic house wines from Chile and Argentina, hand-picked by owner Francesco Galli Zugaro and bottled especially for Aqua Expeditions.
Highlights from the new wine list include the award-winning Emiliana Organic Vineyards – Coyam (Chile), a red blend with intense aromas of cherries, black pepper and rosemary that recently received a 91-point rating by Robert Parker; Achaval Ferrer – Quimera (Argentina), a fruity red blend from one of the most highly acclaimed winemakers in Mendoza; and Garces Silva Family Vineyard – Amayna Pinot (Chile), a rich Pinot Noir from an award-winning family-run winery in Chile’s coastal valley of Leyda.
The new organic house wines include: Matetic – Corralillo Sauvignon Blanc and Cono Sur – Reserva Pinot Noir, from Chile’s Casablanca Valley; Matetic – Corralillo Chardonnay, from Chile’s San Antonio Valley; and Pulenta Wines – La Flor Malbec, from Mendoza, Argentina.
The new wine list and house wines are the perfect complement to Aqua Expeditions’ innovative Amazonian cuisine, prepared by Peru’s acclaimed Chef Pedro Miguel Schiaffino.
“It was my goal to find a noteworthy selection of South America’s top wines that would pair ideally with our gastronomic cuisine, we want our guests to enjoy the Aqua Expeditions dining experience to its fullest and we are already getting amazing feedback. – Francesco Galli Zugaro“
