5 Essential Cocktails for March
By Isabella Cruz
Each month, Chilled brings you five essential cocktails based on our National Drink Day Calendar. Be sure to bookmark it so you’re always ready for the next spirited celebration.
March is that in-between month when winter finally loosens its grip and everything starts to feel possible again. We spring forward (hello, brighter days!), celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with something spirited in hand, raise a glass to International Women’s Day, and begin swapping heavy winter warmers for brighter, fresher pours. It’s the unofficial kickoff to longer evenings, patio plans, and citrus creeping back into our cocktail shakers.
Hard Truth Peanut Brittle Martini
March starts off strong with a whole day dedicated to peanut butter — so beloved it gets its own holiday. March 1 is National Peanut Butter Lovers Day, and this indulgent sipper is a sweet way to celebrate.
Grey Goose Melon Mule
National Moscow Mule Day lands on March 3, which feels perfectly timed as the weather starts to shift. A crisp, refreshing mule with bright melon notes is exactly the kind of transitional cocktail we’re craving!
Rose Petal Lychee Martini
Toast International Women’s Day on March 8 with something elegant and floral. This Rose Petal Lychee Martini brings sophistication and a subtle sweetness worthy of the occasion.
Kenny’s Espresso Martini
March 15 is National Espresso Martini Day. If you’ve never swapped vodka for tequila in your espresso martini, consider this your sign. This version, made with 818 Tequila and created by the team at Catch Miami Beach, delivers a bold twist on the classic.
Leprechaun Leap
We couldn’t round out the March essentials without a St. Patrick’s Day cocktail! If green beer isn’t your thing, the Leprechaun Leap offers a brighter option, blending Ketel One Vodka, ginger liqueur, lemon juice, simple syrup, and fresh kiwi for a vibrant seasonal sip.
