MIXOLOGISTS, ARE YOU READY TO TRAVEL TO AN EXCLUSIVE WORLD?

Enter the Lustau Solera Stand Out 2017 Bartending Competition and You Could Win an Exclusive Trip to Spain! Using Lustau Solera products, come up with your best cocktail and wow the judges panel!

RULES & GUIDELINES

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO WIN?


Show off your mixology skills and reveal your creativity. Create a supreme cocktail with 2 products from the House of Lustau one of which is a Brandy, Stand Out and impress the judges! The top four (4) bartenders whose cocktails Stand Out to the Lustau panel of judges will win a trip to Spain to visit House of Lustau. Of the top four cocktails created by the finalists, one (1) will be chosen by the Lustau family to win the grand prize of $1,000. Competition is open to professional mixologists in the United States only, and must be 21 years or older.

Original recipes must include a minimum of 1 oz. of House of Lustau brandy. Total ingredients shall not exceed 6 oz. and a total of 7 ingredients including drops, dashes and rinses. (Garnish DOES NOT count as an ingredient).

All entry recipes must include a full list of ingredients and preparations/mixing instructions, as well as an image of the cocktail.

One entry per person.

Cocktails will be judged accordingly:

Name: 10 points

Appearance/Presentation: 10 points

Inspiration (written explanation): 15 points

Creativity: 15 points

Balance of flavors, aroma and character: 50 points

A blind judging panel will review and score all entries. Once the judges have chosen sixteen (16) cocktails that Stand Out over the course of the contest, they will be mixed up and judged by a secondary panel of Lustau US Ambassadors. This panel will choose the eight (8) semi-finalists.

The recipes of the eight (8) will then be mixed up at a final Lustau mixing event in July, 2017 where a crowd of industry experts, bartenders and invitees will choose four (4) winners. The chosen four (4) will win an exclusive trip to Spain to visit House of Lustau where they will have a chance to mix up their drinks for the House of Lustau family at a private dinner. One drink will be crowned the grand prize and will be awarded $1,000!
