It was an exciting night at The Passenger in Washington D.C. 8 cocktails recipes were taken to the test by the expert judges for the LUSTAU Solera Standout Semifinals!

Now only 4 final cocktails and their makers are on the way to Spain to compete in the final standout. Featured cocktails of the evening were The Stowaway, by Anthony Parks and La Sobremesa, by Alex Jump. Excellent food and music were enjoyed by guests, participants, and judges. Thank you to our expert judges; Tom Richter, Lucas Paya, and Chantal Tseng. Thanks to Chilled magazine for co-hosting. Special thanks to Whitechapel in San Francisco, Death & CO. in Denver, and The Passenger in D.C. Thank you to all the participants who entered in this years’ Standout! All proceeds were donated to Plastic Oceans.

It was a great night in San Francisco! Thanks to Whitechapel and Anthony Parks for hosting our 1st standout pop up event. We were happy to announce the 16 LUSTAU Solera Standout Finalists. The 2016 and 2017 winning cocktails, “The Stowaway” by Anthony Parks and “La Sobremesa” by Alex Jump were featured, and all proceeds from this event went to Plastic Oceans. Next up is Denver, where we will announce who goes onto the semifinals!

LUSTAU SOLERA STANDOUT FINAL – SEPTEMBER

Madrid, Spain

2018 Solera Standout Cocktail Competition

Enter the Lustau Solera Standout 2018 Cocktail Competition and You Could Win an Exclusive Trip to Spain! Using Lustau products, create your best cocktail and wow the judges!

Period: April 1st thru June 30th

Deadline for Entries is June 30th, 2018.

RULES & GUIDELINES

Show off your mixology skills and reveal your creativity. Create a supreme cocktail with 2 products from the House of Lustau, and Standout to impress the judges! The top four (4) bartenders whose cocktails Standout to the judges will win a trip to Spain to visit The House of Lustau. Of the top four cocktails created by the finalists, one (1) will be chosen to win the grand prize of $1,000. Competition is open to bartenders in US and Spain that are over 21 years or older.

Original recipes must include at least 2 different products from THE HOUSE OF LUSTAU as ingredients (Sherry, Brandy de Jerez, Vermouth, or Vinegar). Total ingredients shall not exceed 6 oz. or 7 ingredients including drops, dashes and rinses. (Garnish DOES NOT count as an ingredient).

All recipes must include a full list of ingredients and preparation/mixing instructions, as well as an image of the cocktail.

One entry per person.
