ABOUT THE COMPETITION

Trumer Pils is brewed fresh daily in Berkeley, California. Our centuries old recipe mixing four ingredients; water, malt, yeast, and hops, makes an extraordinarily refined craft pilsner that’s the most awarded in the world. One taste and you’ll be amazed by its refreshing balance. You’ll also be struck by how versatile it can be when paired with food or in the creation of remarkable beer cocktails.

That’s why we’re announcing the Trumer Pils California Cocktail Competition. It’s your chance to create a beer cocktail inspired by fresh Trumer Pils and the bounty of California. Each entry must include one pour of Trumer Pils and no more than five ingredients (excluding garnish). Entries will be judged on taste, balance, look, creativity, and how they capture the spirit of California. Be it the sunny south or the crisp north.

The competition starts June 11th, 2018. Deadline for entries is August 24th, 2018. The top ten recipes will be announced the week of August 27, 2018 in Berkeley, California. One Grand Prize Winner will be chosen on August 31st, 2018. The Grand Prize Winner will win $5,000!

Register your original cocktail recipe below, then post a photo of your entry to Instagram tagging @trumerpilsusa including a full list of ingredients and measures.

RULES & GUIDELINES

Cocktail submissions must contain at least 1 1/2 oz. of Trumer Pils

COCKTAILS WILL BE JUDGED ACCORDINGLY:
• Name: 5
• Minimum of one pour Trumer Pils: 25
• Appearance/presentation: 5
• Number of ingredients: 10
• Captures the spirit of California: 20
• Creativity: 15
• Ability to replicate: 20

A blind judging panel will review and score the top ten (10) finalists. Once the judges have completed this scoring, the winner will be chosen based on the highest scoring recipe. If there is a tie, those recipes will be mixed and judged by a secondary panel of Trumer Pils ambassadors.
