The Dreaming Tree, the California wine portfolio from musician Dave Matthews and award-winning winemaker Sean McKenzie, has launched their new packaging.
The sleek, new bottles represent and celebrate The Dreaming Tree’s longstanding commitment to making eco-conscious efforts in support of our planet. In addition to new capsules to differentiate between the red and white varietals, the new design features pressure sensitive labels to improve the quality of the wine (made with 100% recyclable paper to align with The Dreaming Tree’s commitment to sustainability) and a new die cut to emphasize the Dreaming “Tree,” as a nod to the brand’s emphasis on the environment.
“Our hope is that The Dreaming Tree’s new label design sparks a conversation about sustainability, and the eco-friendly steps we can all take as we move forward.”
– Dave Matthews, Musician and The Dreaming Tree Co-Conspirator
In celebration of Earth Day, The Dreaming Tree has announced their first “Buy A Bottle, Plant One Tree” program this year. From Sunday, April 15 through Earth Day, Sunday, April 22, 2018, environmental conservation partner Living Lands and Waters will plant one tree for every bottle of The Dreaming Tree Wines sold, with a goal of planting up to 80,000 trees. The Buy One Bottle, Plant One Tree program is in support of longtime charity partner Living Lands and Waters’ MillionTrees Project which protects, preserves, and restores our nation’s major rivers and their watersheds.
The Dreaming Tree continues to keep sustainability at the brand’s forefront, having proudly donated over $1,000,000 to environmental organizations, such as The Wilderness Society and Living Lands & Water, to date. The Dreaming Tree is also recognized as a Certified California Sustainable Winegrowing winery, implementing environmental and socially equitable business practices and takes pride in ensuring that their bottles are eco-conscious in nature from the vine to the table. The Dreaming Tree has implemented more than 17,000 solar panels in an effort to cut down thier carbon footprint, uses 100% recyclable kraft brown paper labels, and has taken efforts to scale down the bottle weight to 1/4 pound lighter than the average bottle, reducing the amount of fuel needed to transport their wines to you.
“The Dreaming Tree is proud to produce award-winning wines with a sustainable focus that our fans can feel good about sharing with friends and family. The environment has always been a focus for us, and as our brand evolves, we’ve enhanced our packaging to reinforce our commitment to making quality wine through sustainable efforts that support our planet.”
– Sean McKenzie, Award-Winning Winemaker and The Dreaming Tree Co-Conspirator
