Ingredients:

  • 1 3/4 lbs. Seedless Watermelon in Chunks
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/3 cup Patrón Silver Tequila
  • 2 tbsp. Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 tbsp. Lime Zest
  • 1/4 cup Small Basil Leaves (for Garnish)
  • 1 tsp. Flaked Sea Salt (for Garnish)

Preparation: In a blender, combine the watermelon, sugar, tequila, lime juice and lime zest. Blend on high until smooth. Pour into a 9×13″ baking dish and freeze for one hour. Stir mixture with a fork and place back in freezer. Repeat this procedure every hour three more times until the granita is frozen. Serve with a sprinkle of salt and small basil leaves for garnish.
