If you are unaware, there are plenty of ways to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community during Pride Month.
One way, in particular, is supporting spirit brands that show their support and love for the community. There are tons of brands that have created limited-release Pride-inspired bottles. When drinking this month, be aware of what brands you are supporting, and if you can, opt for a Pride-inspired bottle. Sip on Pride cocktails all month long.
Here are six bottles you should go out and buy.
The brand is bringing a special type of white wine to the market. The rainbow-colored bottle is a blend of 80% Chenin Blanc and 20% Viognier wine. With each sip, you’ll get notes of pear, ginger, jasmine, and honey. The dry and fruity wine portrays celebrating life. It makes a great summer sipper as it pairs wonderfully with shrimp, scallops, and Thai food.
After the launch of their highly beloved Pride Barrel, NEFT Vodka decided to make the expression permanent. Consumers loved the packaging, which still paved homage to the identifiable metal barrel that concealed the original ultra-premium vodka. The barrel itself shows all colors of the rainbow and a community coming together — showing their support for equality. To show their commitment, the brand supports the community year-round with donations and sponsorships to organizations such as GLAAD and Project Angel Food.
If Crystal Head Vodka didn’t already have eye-catching packaging, the launch of their limited-edition Pride bottle will definitely turn some heads. With the hope to bring together the creative spirit, Crystal Head released a red, yellow, green, blue, and purple Ombre bottle in celebration of equality and diversity. It’s filled with the original, distilled four times vodka. In addition to the launch, profits from this bottle are being donated to the Kaleidoscope Trust.
Stoli launched a Pride-inspired bottle to support the life and legacy of Harvey Milk. Harvey Milk was the first openly gay elected official in California. The mural on each bottle is by Paraguayan artist Oz Montania, featuring a popular Milk quote, “Hope will never be silent.” This bottle will help raise funds for the Harvey Milk Foundation.
“This bottle of vodka won’t solve the world’s problems, but it will directly support the LGBTQ community, and that’s a damn good start.” With that Cardinal Spirits filled their first Pride Vodka bottle on June 26th, 2015, the same day the Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage nationwide. When buying their Pride Vodka, 10% of the proceeds go to an LBGTQ+ organization in each local region.
As supporters of the LGBTQ+ community since the early 1980s, Absolut launched their Rainbow Pride bottle and collaborated with artist and activist Gilbert Baker in honor of the Pride flag. Absolut partnered with a global non-profit organization GLAAD, to help accelerate the acceptance of the community.
