Must Mix: Urban Herb Garden Julep

By Chilled Magazine

September is National Bourbon Heritage Month. Celebrate by mixing up this twist on the Mint Julep, using Trail’s End Kentucky Bourbon.

A modern twist on a traditional cocktail, the Urban Herb Garden Julep combines a variety of herbs from the kitchen garden that complement the smooth, warm notes of our bourbon. Chocolate mint brings a hint of nutty cacao flavor while pineapple sage adds an essence of fruit, all balanced by the standard, but delicious, spearmint. Don’t let finding these exact herbs prevent you from making this cocktail. Choose a variety of your favorites with sweet and savory notes to pair with the classic mint and highlight the best of the bourbon.
