In early December, 2016, Moët Hennessy hosted The Ultimate Champagne Dinner, a once-in-a-lifetime experience featuring a five-course dinner, uniquely paired with a prestige cuvée from the Champagne Houses of Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, Ruinart, Dom Pérignon and Krug.
This intimate and exclusive dinner took place at Omar’s NYC (21 West 9th Street), and consisted of a welcoming reception with Ruinart Blanc de Blancs, followed by a seated dinner of strategically paired entrées by Omar’s Chef Georges Mokbel that enhanced the tasting experience for both the cuvées as well as the cuisine.
The first course consisted of Dom Pérignon P2 Vintage 1998, perfectly paired with a Scallop Duo. The second course featured Krug Grand Cuvée 163rd Edition with an Earth Trilogy (root vegetable risotto with trumpet, chanterelle and oyster mushroom foams), and for the third course, Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Rosé 2008 with La Vie En Magret Rose (pan roasted mallard duck, quince chutney and beet foam). For dessert, Veuve Clicquot Demi-Sec was paired with Roasted Applu Profiterole (biscuit ice cream with apple cider caramel).
This dinner served as a preview for Moët Hennessy’s exceptional items. The Ultimate Champagne Dinner is currently offered as part of Moët Hennessy’s Icons Gift Collection for the 2016-2017 season. For this exclusive experience, the private client team would take care of every detail, including securing the perfect location, finding the right chef and customizing the menu to each person’s needs.
