Sunday June 21 Intrepid Spirits Hosts a Rolling Cocktail Hour

This Sunday, June 21, 2020, Intrepid Spirits will be bringing together bartenders from around the world for an innovative virtual cocktail party like no other.
As the Sun Goes Down is a celebration of the longest day of the year and an opportunity to share a glass with spirits tastemakers across numerous cultures and time zones. Beginning at 7AM (GMT+1) / 2AM, Intrepid’s Instagram account will turn into an all-day soiree featuring a different bartender in a different city, every hour on the hour.
“The worldwide pandemic has changed the way in which we socialize, travel and just generally experience life,” remarked John Ralph, CEO of Intrepid Spirits. “Our goal in hosting As the Sun Goes Down is to find that global connection again, and to unite our spirits community on one day, over a really good drink…or 24.”
The Intrepid team will be hosting the celebration from Dublin via Instagram Live, looping in a new guest from a new city every hour. The first to join the live stream will be Ed Loveday from Sydney, Australia mixing a cocktail with the newest product in the Intrepid portfolio – Regal Rogue Vermouth. For the next 24 hours, the event will move across the globe to major cities such as Tokyo, Shanghai, Milan, Lisbon, Copenhagen, London, La Paz, New York, San Francisco and Honolulu.

Each mixologist will join the live feed to prepare a specialty cocktail of choice using one of Intrepid’s award-winning brands—Egan’s Irish Whiskey, Mad March Hare Irish Poitin, Cocalero Classico or Regal Rogue—or one of their partner brands— Michter’s Whiskey, Pusser’s Rum, Merlet Cognac, Los Javis Mezcal and Kyro Gin. After they’ve mixed up the drink, each will offer a toast to honor someone meaningful in their life.
Viewers can recreate the cocktails from the comfort of their own home while interacting with industry professionals and cocktail enthusiasts across the globe. To participate, simply follow Intrepid on Instagram.
