MASTER OF ALL SKILLS CONTEST TAPS WORLD’S MOST POPULAR WEBSITES FOR AN EPIC CHALLENGE TO GIVE AWAY A TRIP TO PUERTO RICO.

Leading Rum Brand DonQ Kicks-Off Innovative Partnership with BuzzFeed, Gizmodo, Cool Hunting, NOTCOT, GOOD, Foodspotting, Instructables, OkCupid and Pitchfork .

STAMFORD, January 25, 2011 – DonQ Rum announced a new digital contest, Master of All Skills (MoAS) that challenges fans to complete a series of brain-busting quizzes across nine skill categories. Nine finalists will be rewarded with an amazing party and one Master will earn a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Puerto Rico to experience the art of rum-making first hand. The contest runs through March 21st.

“We know DonQ Rum fans are passionate about things like fine rum, fine cuisine, technology, and music, so we’ve partnered with the leading sites in different categories and pushed them to create quizzes that are truly challenging,” said Clay Parker Jones, strategy director at DonQ’s New York-based digital strategy firm, Undercurrent. “The experience appeals to the gamer in all of us- the feedback loops and sharing features are all designed to entice people to play.” 

In the spirit of collaboration, each site also worked with DonQ to create its own unique blend of DonQ rum to celebrate the launch.

San Francisco-based digital agency Odopod, a key partner with Undercurrent and DonQ, designed and built the Master of All Skills digital platform.
