Bartender from Lima Takes Top Honor in Hard Rock’s Global Bartending Competition.

Hard Rock International announces Hard Rock Cafe Lima’s Angelo Delgado as the winner of its worldwide BARocker Competition. Delgado wowed the judges during the final bartending showdown at Hard Rock’s Global Conference in Orlando, Fla. and won an all-expenses paid trip for two to one of Hard Rock’s luxury resort properties. As the company’s 2016 BARocker Champion, Delgado will also have his winning cocktail featured on Hard Rock’s award-winning drink menu for a limited time.

Hard Rock Cafe Crowns Angelo Delgado Ultimate BARocker

Based out of Lima, Peru, BARocker winner, Angelo Delgado’s impressive accuracy and speed made him a leading contender to watch throughout the competition. However, it was his exciting flair tricks and showmanship that captivated the judges during the final, live battle. Additional honors were awarded to Anibal Espindola from Hard Rock Cafe San Jose for “Best Speed”; Alex Nguyen from Hard Rock Cafe Ho Chi Minh for “Best Accuracy”; and Alessandro Beggio from Hard Rock Cafe Venice for “Best Knowledge.”

Hard Rock’s third annual global BARocker competition called on the brand’s bartenders from around the world to showcase their top-notch bartending skills for the chance to be named Hard Rock’s best BARocker of 2016. Throughout each stage, competitors were evaluated on several elements, including recipe knowledge, pour testing, accuracy, speed, flair and showmanship.

Hard Rock continues to remix its drink lineup to stay at the forefront of drink innovation, and has developed more than 150 drinks in key categories, including tiki, coffee, dessert, mojitos, margaritas, lemonades, multi-liquor teas and more.
