Bringing a fun, grown-up touch to your Halloween parties this year, Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse is stirring up some spooky Halloween libations sure to keep guests doing the “Monster Mash” late into the night.
Davio’s Bar Manager Jenny Schubert shares her inspiration for such cocktails like ‘The Black Devil,’ ‘The Green Monster,’ and ‘The Great Pumpkin’. Mix these delicious cocktails up at home!
The Black Devil
- 2 oz. Myers Dark Rum or Ron Zacapa
- 1/2 oz. Sweet Vermouth
- 2 dashes of Black Mission Fig Bitters
Preparation: Put all ingredients over ice, stir, strain into chilled martini glass with orange colored super fine sugar, garnish with french brandy soaked luxardo cherries on a Halloween swizzle stick.
The Green Monster
- 2 oz. Plymouth Gin
- 1 tsp. Green Creme de Menthe
- 1 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 tsp. Mint Simple Syrup
- 1 Egg White
Preparation: Put all ingredients over ice and shake very vigorously, add a space of soda water, serve in a snifter glass that is rimmed with raspberry puree “blood” that oozes down the outside of the glass.
The Great Pumpkin
- 1 oz. Vanilla Vodka
- 1 oz. Spiced Pumpkin Liquor
- 1 oz. Baileys
- 1/2 oz. Pumpkin puree
- 2 dashes of maple bitters
Preparation: Add all ingredients over ice and shake, strain into martini glass, add a bit of fresh whipped cream to one side as well as a sprinkle of gram cracker, cinnamon and nutmeg.
