Vodka Pays the Bills

- 1.5 oz. Wódka Vodka
- .5 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
- .5 oz. Giffard Rhubarb Liqueur
- 1 bar spoon Strawberry Jam
- splash Club Soda
Preparation: Shake all in tin with ice, reserving soda. Strain over fresh ice, top club soda, garnish.
Garnish: Thin lemon slice and pink peppercorns.

Often overlooked, any mixologist can tell you that Vodka is the true workhorse of any cocktail menu. Adaptable, and approachable, Vodka plays well with other ingredients and provides a solid base for true creativity in cocktails . I wanted to create something that celebrates the balance of this beloved spirit, and to utilize a Wódka Vodka to its fullest strengths. Combining elements of sweet, bitter, tart and sour, Vodka Pays the Bills is the ultimate easy drinking libation. Balance is key, and this is what it tastes like. There’s a long standing joke in the bar world that without vodka, we’d all be drinking in the dark, and that, truly, “Vodka Pays the Bills”. Cheers!
