The Pumpkin King

  • 2 oz. Wódka Vodka
  • 1 oz. Pumpkin & Mushroom Syrup*
  • 3/4 oz. Espresso
  • 1/2 oz. Galliano Ristretto

Top with Ricotta Cream**

Preparation: Shake all ingredients except ricotta cream with ice. Strain up into coupe. Layer ricotta cream on top. Sprinkle shaved chipotle chocolate on top.

*Pumpkin & Mushroom Syrup

  • 2 cup Pumpkin Purée
  • 1 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 cup of Wild Mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup Mushroom Broth
  • 2 cups Light Brown Sugar
  • 10 sticks Cinnamon
  • 5 Cloves

In a medium pan bring pumpkin, water and brown sugar to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Add cinnamon and clove and simmer for 15min. Add mushrooms and mushroom broth. Simmer for 5min and remove from heat. Let cool for 10min then strain. Store in fridge.

**Ricotta Cream

  • 1 cup Ricotta Cheese
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 2 tbsp. Honey

Mix with small hand mixer till consistency is lightly whipped.

Cocktail Inspiration:

With the weather starting to cool and the leaves falling, you know it’s Pumpkin season. So I was inspired to am up an espresso Martini with pumpkin spice flavors and a touch of savory notes from the mushrooms. Fall is the start of the Holiday season and bringing all your love ones together. So the Pumpkin King is a great way to bring cheer to both your friends and family all throughout Fall and winter.
