Cocktail Inspiration:

This cocktail comes from my experience at my current bar Rudy’s jazz room. Being more of a night-cap spot I find guest are looking for something that’s a dessert. With that in mind I wanted to make something not overly sweet or lacking in richness. A drink that’s balanced and filling. As to help not over serve the guest. Wòdka is a excellent base spirit for such a drink with it being very neutral and having a nice marshmallow like finish. Paired with cacao simple to help sweeten and add chocolate taste. The spearmint cuts the sweet and opens up the light citrus notes. Using a little coffee liquor adds to the depth of the cacao as well as adding a nice bitter note on the finish. To really round out the drink and make it less syrupy. The cream comes in to brink the richness and make for a lovely mouth feel. Creating something that ends the night with delicious sweet treat.
